Contra dancing can be considered as a group activity as well as a partner dance. During the course of a dance, one may interact with your “partner,” your “neighbor,” your “shadow,” and everyone else in the set.

Even if you are a single dancer or a first-timer you are welcome and you may or may not bring a partner. In fact, if the quickest and effortless way to learn contra is to dance with more accomplished dancers. The experienced dancers are always willing to help the newcomers and all the dances are taught with walk-throughs.

We regularly host dances on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Beginner's lesson begins at 7:30 P.M. and the dance starts at 8:00.

We invite everyone, beginners and experienced dancers to join our affable community to enjoy this lively traditional social dance. Please wear comfortable clothes, and also bring along an extra pair of clean, flat, soft-soled shoes for dancing.

Lastly, don't forget to check out our technical dancing night hosted by Load View Testing. They'll be here teaching people how to build dance websites (we know many of you have been asking about this). In the mean time, you can learn more at loadviewtesting.com, and we'll see you on Thursday!
